Why bother?
Most WhatsApp messages are the same few questions: opening hours, prices, location, "is this available?". Answering them by hand eats your evenings. Automation answers the easy ones and passes the tricky ones to you.
Four simple steps
1. Use WhatsApp Business. It's free and already has greeting and away messages built in.
2. Write down your top 10 questions. And the answers you always give. This is your script.
3. Set up quick replies. Start with the built-in tools. When you outgrow them, a tool connected to WhatsApp's official business system can send reminders and approvals.
4. Keep a human in the loop. Anything about money or complaints should come to you to approve first. That's what the YES/NO message does.
Start small
Pick one thing this week, like an away message after 6pm. Watch how it goes. Then add the next one. You don't need to do it all at once.
